| Post subject: | Marker , Switch Lamp and lantern visibility standards |
Hi All, Just wondering what the minimum visibility distance requirements were for kerosene lanterns and marker or switch lamps back in the days that they used them. I assume lanterns had the shortest distance and marker or switch lamps needed to be visible something like a mile away under clear conditions. What about order boards or semaphore signals? When did the standards come into effect? Thanks very much for any information. Jason |
