Today marks the 100 year anniversary of the Pennsylvania Railroad's electrified service on the mainline between Philadelphia and Paoli, the fist chapter in one of the most ambitious railroad electrification projects in the country. Click read, enjoy!

The most recent issue of "Classic Trains" (Fall 2015) includes a detailed 12-page article describing the PRR's electrification to Paoli and beyond, with many excellent photos, by Frank Tatnall, a native of Philadelphia and retired railroad employee.
