Greetings, The other day I was driving westbound down I-64 through Indiana, when I saw something I didn't expect to see. Going eastbound was an earlier generation roadrailer trailer that was identical to this trailer (perhaps it was the same one): https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7667/1648 ... d1d2_b.jpg Looking at the decal on the pictured trailer, it has a decal indicating, "pesticide storage". Clearly it no longer in rail service, but it makes me wonder how many of these are still out there that are still intact. I seem to recall that Triple Crown removed the rail axles from their trailers. Anybody have any details behind these storage trailers or know of any other intact examples? Thanks! |

Search on this forum... C&O Roadrailer preserved as well. Information from 2001 and 2007 will show up. Not a complete list I don't think. Another post which I can't retrieve reported that one or two van bodies were on CSX property at the shops in Grand Rapids, MI. The one intact example at Sparta, MI is highly unusual in that it retains its rail wheels. Alex Huff |

One other C&O roadrailer is at the museum in New Buffalo, MI minus its wheels. Ryan |
