Sorry for the short notice, but our interchange schedule with NS has been highly unpredictable at times. Here is the information we just published on our Facebook Page concerning a mixed freight operation Wednesday August 12th: Special for TOMORROW, Wednesday, August 12, Strasburg Rail Road will be operating a MIXED TRAIN with departure from East Strasburg at 8:00 AM! Don't miss your chance to experience the historic tradition of the "Mixed Train" as Engine #475 hauls modern day freight. $15.00 CASH paid to the conductor gets you on the train. Boarding is first come, first served at Coach #96, staged on our North No. 1 track in the freight yard. There is no age restriction. Due to some work occurring on 8618, we will be operating another mixed train tomorrow (Thursday 8-20-15). We will be departing from East Strasburg at 8am from our North Yard adjacent to the service crossing to pick up 3 cars (2 loads & 1 empty) from NS.
