Image shows the prototype Baldwin built WP Pacific 7200 (73408/1947) after overhaul at Amritsar works of the Northern Railway of India.

The first of 755 constructed by several builders, It is now making it's way back to it's home shed at Rewari near New Delhi for future use in excursion service.

Let's be honest, just about any product of Baldwin looks good in a world with an overall lack of steam operation. I'm not saying we don't have anything but unfortunately we aren't back in the 50's. Regardless, I feel obligated to take my hat off to these guys, any steam is good steam.

So what are the Indian standards for pressure vessels?

Do they have mandatory government inspections and certification like our 1472 inspection?
