The Heber Valley RR has done a very nice job rehabbing coach #324, a former Lackawanna MU trailer. Outshopped this past December, it has a nice new pullman green paint job, all new upholstery on the original seats, new wooden doors at each end, and updated with propane heat and a modern RV type toilet. A good photo of it can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/hebervalleyrailroad |

I saw this car a little over a year ago. Then, both vestibules and steps were being rebuilt. The work was impressive, with lots of new metal going in to replace rot. |

In other news, 618 is being converted to burn oil. It is expected to return to service this July. |

My girlfriend and I rode in #324 over the holidays a few months ago. HVRR's done a nice job restoring it, and two of their other cars and painting them into more historic- looking colors (dark green with yellow lettering.) vs. the bright red and light gray the rolling stock used to wear. |
