A recent video clip (sorry, I'm computer illiterate when comes to links) shows the Budd round-end obs/lounge zipping along at 75 mph on I-90, carbody on the lead semi, second semi carried both trucks. Yahoo Group SoDakRailFans has the clip. Message indicates all of the equipment has been sold to a group in Texas. Cars were stored on the 1880 Train, based in Hill City, SD for many years. The line has been landlocked since BN abandoned the "High Line" from near Edgemont to Deadwood a number of years ago. Alex Huff edited to correct Yahoo Group name |

Here's a video made at Wall, SD. (Looks like the EB lanes on the freeway are closed). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3QCArLYDps |

Well that's something you don't see everyday. Ya know, I'd pay a few bucks to ride in that thing going down the freeway. |
