This is one of the most amazing films I've ever had the privilege to watch. 3,685 Horse Power - built from scratch... No one in their right mind could ever scrap another steam engine after watching what it took to build 'em back then. It's about 15 minutes long - a half hour if you watch it twice: http://youtu.be/NcbTXlMSCwk Enjoy! /Mitch |

Holy cr - this engine EXISTS today, as does CP's only other 4-8-4 #3100. Apparently one of these was rumored to be a candidate for restoration by CP. http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread ... ific-Steam /Mitch |

Yep, that film has been kicking around for a long time. Its always good to sit down and watch it every now and again... Pretty cool watching that montage of them making cylinder saddles. That one shot of 4 of them on a mill, represents the entire class! Also, gotta love the Fedoras! |

"Also, gotta love the Fedoras!" Same here, as I wear one myself! Surprisingly practical, keeping the sun off your head and out of your eyes in the summer, and surprisingly warm in the winter. Only disadvantage is that the brim acts like a sail or wing; you either have to tilt your head or hold onto your hat in any serious wind. I've also found they're something of a chick magnet! Blast, where were those girls 30 years ago when I was single? Don't tell my wife I said that! |
