Is anyone able to comment on the proposed operational status of this steam locomotive?

Richard -

See the "Obscure Steam Locomotive Restorations" thread for what looks like a recent photo of the 0-6-0. I too would like an update on proposed operations.

We fired her up on Saturday, Nov. 19. All the appliances were working that were on the locomotive. A few brake pipes have to be installed. I was hoping we were going to move it back and forth a little, but it didn't happen. If it was our railroad, we would have moved her a little but we didn't want to take any chances. To move the locomotive would have required moving the throttle out a notch or two more. Due to the weather, there will probably be no attempt to move her until spring. I was disappointed, but such is steam.

I have no clue where she will operate and as far as I know, there is nothing in the works.

It is located on a railroad (R&N) which doesn't care to operate locomotives not owned or lettered for the railroad.
They need to get it to Steamtown where it could operate.

Thanks for the photo. She is a positive example of what happens when one organization with too much equipment finds something a good home. She would have never operated if she stayed in Wilmington.

I agree. The only way it could possibly be better is if there were just a few wisps of steam.
