Post subject:  TV commercial/ Pure Michigan

The latest in a series of Michigan tourism ads (Pure Michigan) has appeared several times on my local TV station. One scene shows what looks like the Fort Collins Birney car operating at the Henry Ford Museum. I have been unable to find this clip on YouTube. Does anybody have any further information?

I've been seeing them too. The ads are beautifully done...but you almost can't go wrong with every shot in slow motion and the theme from "Cider House Rules" in your soundtrack ;-)
Anyone know who the engine crew is posing with No. 1...hope they're not actors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ivPE4QK ... dded#at=11

Heading to Michigan...

Thanks, Steve, for finding the clip. On closer inspection, I stand corrected regarding the Birney car. It's an omnibus rather than Fort Collins # 26.

The engine crew in the commercial are employees of Greenfield Village. The footage with #1, the Edison, is from around 2000.

Another older Pure Michigan commercial has a Greenfield Village railroad scene.

Fort Collins Municipal Railway #26 is still inside the Henry Ford Museum. This is how it looked last Sunday.

I've seen that new Pure Michigan commercial lately with clips from The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. Like the seen most with C&O 1601. ^_^
