| Post subject: | UP boxcars in Cheyenne |
Went out to look at the two cars boxcars mentioned on RYPN last week. They are a B-50-27 40' boxcar built in Albina in June 1940 and a B-50-19 40' car built in Grand Island in October 1936. The 1936 car is in the best condition and would make a really nice workshop for the Car 57 project, the other car would be nice too if it was reasonable enough to move two instead of just one. Anyone interested in helping us achieve this move please contact me at michael.pannell@btinternet.com We are a 501C non profit and these cars would be nice to save, with one an ideal candidate to be restored and placed outside the depot museum in Cheyenne with the UP 2-10-2 Steam loco and 1910 CA1 caboose eventually. Pictures of the boxcars can be found at http://mikepannell254.fotopic.net/c1616093_25.html Mike Pannell |
