Very cute. What location did this old girl operate? I ask because there was a viscose plant in Marcus Hook, PA.

Needs bigger tires in the rear if you're gonna go with the jacked up look - unless a load in the coal bunker will make it sit level.

LOL!

Mike, you've got to load the bottom half of the coal bunker up with moonshine to get her to ride level. Just like my uncle's '51 Merc and '63 Chevy........ After all, she did operate in Roanoke, Va., just up the road from Franklin County Va., the Moonshine Capitol of the USA................:)

Interesting FYI, Our 9th St yard, now famous as the "Lost Engines" staging and restoration area, was the home of Viscose #6 in her "in service" days. I'd love to see her come back home for a visit, and maybe do some photo switching and even possibly caboose rides across town at VMT............... National Train Day 2011?

I'd love to see something like that pulling a sled......along with 300 tractors trying to pull the sled in the other direction.

Visiting in Dunkirk, New York, with Scott Symans and found Viscose #6 in much improved condition. All of the wheels have been reprofiled, axles turned and polished, and new brasses installed. There is still work to be done but #6 will be ready for upcoming events.

Scott and Viscose #6 will be running on Fathers' Day Weekend at Arcade & Attica, out of Arcade, New York. In late July #6 will be visiting the AC&J in Jefferson, Ohio. Details of other events later in the year have yet to be finalized.
