Post subject:  The Soo in Columbus, ND

Dennis Storzek mentioned in the thread on the move of Soo Line 2-8-0 #2425 to the Ironhorse Central Museum in Chisago City, Minnesota, that we had kind of "hijacked" that thread by talking about the discovery of Soo Line F-20 class 2-8-0 #2412 in Columbus:

Didn't want to do that because the info of the 2425 going to Chisago City is newsworthy in its own rite and its thread should stand on its own. But in doing a bit of further checking on the internet, I found out that there is another bit of Soo Line history in Columbus besides Consolidation 2412. Apparently the depot from the town is still there too. Moved to the corner of 2nd Avenue and Meyer Street and now a private residence. So, for a town of only 122 souls, and in the middle of nowhere, the Soo Line still has quite a historical presence!
