American Steam Railroad #1352 Fundraiser Raffle


The American Steam Railroad Preservation Association Inc, in cooperation with the California Zephyr Railcar Charters announces a golden opportunity to ride historic first-class luxury railcars between Spokane,WA and Portland, OR on a train pulled by the sole remaining Southern Pacific Daylight steam locomotive, #4449. California Zephyr Railcar Charters is providing its Silver Fleet, comprised of the railcars Silver Lariat, Silver Rapids, and Silver Solarium, all of which were built for the legendary California Zephyr passenger train. All three railcars will travel with locomotive #4449 across the Pacific Northwest on the famed Empire Builder route, allowing guests to marvel at the incredible sights and breathtaking views in daylight from their comfortable perch aboard a classic dome car.

Raffle tickets will cost $1.00 dollar each starting on July 13, 2009 and the Winner need not be present to be eligible to claim there prize and you can purchase as many tickets as you want.

As of this release and effective immediately will be the kick off for the fundraiser to help rebuild Frisco Steam Locomotive #1352 owned by the American Steam Railroad Preservation Association, Inc. Only 25,000 tickets total will be sold during this event at our Booth at Trainfestival2009 in Owosso, MI.

They are sold on a first come first serve bases and once they are sold out no more will be printed for this drawing. Drawing will be held the last day of Trainfestival2009, July 26, 2009 at 5:00 PM and all winners will be notified by a phone call and post card sent there mailing address off of the fundraising ticket.

Grand Prize - All Expense paid trip to ride behind the SP 4449 Daylight Locomotive on Oct 20,2009 from Spokane,WA to Portland,OR through the Columbia River Gorge on the Silver Fleet Dome Cars.


Grand Prize includes

1. One way coach Air fare taking off anywhere in the USA and Canada leaving on Oct 19th, 2009 to meet with the SP 4449 Daylight on Oct 20th, 2009 in Spokane, WA for 2 people.

2. 1 night hotel stay on Oct 19th, 2009 in Spokane, WA while waiting for the Daylight on October 20, 2009 for 2 people.

3. 1 Set of Day Trip Segment tickets from Spokane to Portland for 2 people.

Description: Bell Bottom Switch Lamp manufactured by Adams and Westlake, Circa 1920's. Restored and complete with Kerosene fuel Burner. A.A.R. Lenses are made by Koop glass. Issued in Red and green in this switch lamp. Used by many railroads and will be a great addition to anyone's collection.

Yes you can purchase them online buy using the following instructions below and if you know of anyone else who would like a chance please pass this email on. So we have looked at our donation page and come up with the following instructions so you can purchase them online safe and secure.

Online ticket Purchase Instructions

1. Tickets can be purchase online until 12:00PM EST on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 and after that you'll have to get them at Train Festival in Owosso, MI from our booth in person.

3. Fill out the form completely with Phone number to contact you at and know where to mail them too.

4. Use the radio button that states other amount and place your dollar amount there.

5. In comment section please put #1352 FundRaiser and we'll know by the dollar amount how many tickets you want.
