I'm going to be in your neck of the woods and am planning on stopping by on Saturday. It's been over five years since I last visited (wow that time goes by fast), and am looking forward to seeing the progress. Anyhow, I'm wondering if any of the IRM guys on here are going to be there so I can meet you.

Regards,
Gerald Kopiasz

Good weekend for a visit. IRM will be holding it's special RPO events this Sat and Sun.
Look further down the list for a posting with a full description.

Actually, the RPO event was several weeks ago (thread titles should never include phrases like "This weekend").

I'm going to try and be out there Saturday as well, have to finish up the cut levers for our SD-24. Look for this guy:

timing is everything...
this weekend is a "quiet" time as we go between the electric dept pageant of July 4 and the Diesel Dept pageant of July 18-19. Many of us will be around, putting things in order for the next special event.
It makes for a really nice casual environment for railfans.
enjoy!!!

That "pop" sound you just heard was me removing my head from my hindquarters.

June, July, what's the difference ?

My apologies for any confusion :-)

It could happen to anybody. In any case, I have now uploaded a couple of videos of the RPO in operation, taken by Charles Amstein, here:
