IIRC, this is one of two heritage lines planned. Gomaco outshopped two Milan Peter Witts for the Delmar route. There is also a group which has acquired some PCCs from S. Lake Tahoe, CA for eventual operation in St. Charles, MO.

It is interesting that there is a complete disconnect between this streetcar plan and the St. Louis light rail system. It is not mentioned at all. They have had a functioning light rail for what, 15 years now? And yet the story implies that there has not been "streetcars" since 1966. Certainly there have not been transit cars running in the pavement down the center of the street, but that is a very narrow definition in my opinion.

That's actually a good point. What is also not mentioned is that the proposed line would connect with the present light rail system. The proposed line would travel north from the Missouri History Museum on DeBallivere Blvd. Just a block north of the museum is the Metrolink (light rail) station.
