Hi folks,

This is preliminary, the V&T Commission has handed operations of the V&T Re-con project to the .... drumroll ...

Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau. (Aren't they a subsidiary of UP?)

The point is, and it's preliminary, is that they hope to have the Gray's Virginia and Truckee Railroad run a steam special on the new tracks from the edge of Carson City to Virginia City and back on August 15 and 16 for Railfest.

Ticket prices as announced by Dwight Millard (V&T Chairman and CCCVB Chairman) .... another drumroll ...

$50 one-way and $100 round-trip.

This was very preliminar-ily announced at a meeting June 8.

I was just told unofficially that at a meeting yesterday the CCCVB set the price at $48 round trip. Deflation can be your friend!
