After an absence of several years, Dan Markoff's 1875 Eureka & Palisade No. 4 will be participating in this year's Rail Festival event at the Durango & Silverton August 13-16: http://www.durangotrain.com/events/rail ... ampionship

Glad to see that the waiver petition was successfully resolved with FRA. Having riden with Dan and the gang before I can honestly say this is truly a spectacular trip to take. Highly reccomended! Congratulations to all involved for getting this concept back on track.

Got my tickets today. The caboose is about sold out with 3 seats left, but there are around 30 coach seats remaining.

2003 remains my all time favorite...

Was lucky to ride her on the D&S and C&TS. She could only ull a gondola & caboose up the 4% to Cumbres, but what a ride. More cars were added at Cumbres & we went to Oshier, turned on the loop & returned. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Eureka only ran one year on the C&TS.
