We have "as-received" pictures of 1927 lightweight steel streetcars from the St. Louis Car Company to Northern Texas Traction. These pictures were part of NTT's application for the Charles A. Coffin Medal for the year ending Dec. 31, 1927. One of the photos shows the interior and a portion of the ceiling. There is a decorative band around the ceiling sections, but the photo is a little too blurry to make out the exact pattern. Does anyone know of a resource that would show the exact pattern or perhaps another car in which the pattern is preserved? Thanks. Andy Nold, CMO NTHT, Inc. |

After browsing the internet, I suppose the correct word for that pattern would be "frieze". I think. |

Andy, have you checked with either Washington University in St. Louis, which holds a large SLCC collection or with the Museum of Transportation Library? |
