This car is off of route 6 in Childs PA. Does anyone know more or who owns it. We would like to see what condition the trucks are in, it also has railings and handrails etc and is standing on rails apparently. Mike

That car still exists? I remember hearing a couple of years ago that it was in a NYOW yard with some other cars and that they were all scrapped. Is that a newer picture? |

Thats why i posted this, i heard about it a year or so back.....but dont know if it still exists or not............perhaps someone in the area could take a look. mike |

This is the O&W car next to the office at what was Baumann's scrapyard. It was abandoned with other O&W rolling stock at the Mayfield Yard which Baumann bought after the O&W shut down. When this car was moved across the street decades ago, for safer keeping, I am told it wad plowed into by a drunk driver. It was never fixed. Just soth of this spot is the O&W milk car that formerly served as the Childs post office. Rob |
