All,

I have taken on the job of preforming work on Connecticut Trolley Museum's Oshawa Railway's #18. # 18 is a Baldwin-Westinghouse product; a class B electric freight locomotive. We are planning on a limited/ maintenance restoration. Rust abatement, roof and window work, paint, and some mechanicals.

As always all volunteers are welcome; non-volunteers will be drafted.

IRM is also working on a Class B, Chicago Transit Authority S-105
Blog entires for it's restoration can be found here: http://www2.irm.org/blogs/index.php?/categories/10-Chicago-Transit-Authority-S-105

S-105 is probably not the most typical Class B, having been built to CTA clearances (narrower than normal), and her electrical equipment is basically that of 2, CTA/CRT 4000 series cars, in order to standardize parts.

Jeff,

It seems that we are all fighting the same issues: rust and rotten windows. The new windows and doors look great! My biggest problem is the wooden floor in ours is wet and rusting through the floor. The windows are the culprit in our case. Because of the wet I need to remove the floor, almost 100yrs of accumulated dirt and rust...
