I seem to recall it being in the newspaper a few years ago as an attempt by its owner to try to build support for light rail in Columbus Ohio. David Farlow |

I asked a noted PCC authority about this a few hours ago. Long story short: He says it's owned by the same guy(s) responsible for the field(s) full of trolleys in eastern Ohio. Supposedly they were purchased speculatively with the intention of reselling to transit agencies. "He refuses to talk to museums and preservationists; we're just waiting him out--he's gotta die sometime, but in the meantime the stuff is all out there just rotting away." In other words, just like all the steam locomotives, none of these are unknown and hiding. These guys seem to know where every last such relic is. |

There is a very creditable effort to record all the electric railway cars preserved in the US. This car is included in the list and links will take you to all the cars in this family's collection. We are lucky to have "Preserved North American Electric Ralway Cars" (http://www.bera.org/pnaerc.html). Thank you Frank and Jeff. |

The last I had heard, this particular car was moved in 2007 to the west end of the Detroit-Superior Bridge in Cleveland and was lettered "Buckeye Trolley." I believe this is connected to efforts to generate political support - and public funding - for a trolley museum on the lakefront in Cleveland. I'm not sure whether 4006 is still at that location or has since been moved again. |

Hmm, got a question here. PAT4006 shows on an industrial spur, but Pittsburgh Railways was Pennsylvania Broad Gauge, 62.5", and not standard gauge, 56.5". Was the siding reguaged, or the car? |
