I noticed that most of the windows on the old East Stroudsburg, PA tower are all boarded up. This has happened quite recently. What's up?

There was a group formed to save and restore the tower. A couple of years ago they got some money from a local bank and were able to rebuild the foundation. Since then they have not seemed to been able to raise money or even awareness. The guy who seems to be the leader of the group has been heavily involved in the Steamtown Lackawanna Railfest the last few years - not sure how that helps the tower.

It's a shame that they seem to have lost their early momentum. The tower itself is more or less intact at its original location, owned by the rail authority with no need to move it and the opportunity for visits by tourist trains (Steamtown and presumably ELDCPS/DL).
