Private Car Storage

I realize this may be a long shot, but I thought I would try anyway. Is anyone aware of any sidings and such available in or near the Aberdeen, MD 21001 area that would be suitable for private car storage? Say within a 15 mile radius

It depends largely on your definition of "suitable." There are sidings off of both CSX and Amtrak in the general vicinity, although the former trackage into Aberdeen Proving Ground from both Aberdeen and Edgewood is largely history. There are industrial sidings off of CSX in the Belcamp area.

Your best prospect for a passenger-car-friendly siding MIGHT be at MARC's car-assembly "shop" along Amtrak across the highway from Martin State Airport, just northeast of MARC's Martin Airport passenger stop. This pushes the fringes of "15 miles from Aberdeen," and I've no idea what switching charges may be like or whether MARC will consider such a proposition for a microsecond, but.........

PM me as well; I just ran into an Amtrak official in maintenance-of-way in that area and we IDed a few possibilities on the Amtrak side........
