The Landis Valley Museum mentioned in the article was once the home of a Conestoga Traction Birney car. The Birney, now restored, operates on a tiny stretch of track at Manheim, PA Historical Museum.

A dollar really isn't that bad. I'd happily pay eight dollars to enter the museum.

I would have to agree about that. I think they could have gone a little higher with it, but I'll be happy with just the dollar more.

It was bound to happen. I love to rant about Fast Eddie's insatiable fiscal appetite, but fuel prices are rising as is everything else-and in Pennsylvania its likely to be particularly painful with electricity next year. The electricity deregulation that occurred in the mid '90's artificially capped KWh prices, and they have some catching up to do-Of course back then oil wasn't anywhere near 90-100 bucks a barrel for light sweet crude.
