Lots of good info here. One thing that confused me concerned reading the history of V&T 4-6-0 #27. The engine was apparently taken out of service needing boiler work which was not done as the railroad was in the process of closing down. But then when the only other serviceable engine (#26) was badly damaged in a fire, the V&T apparently secured ICC permission to fire up the 27 to make the last few runs of the railroad. Question is, have there been any inspections to determine if the 27 has a bad boiler today?
