Post subject: Need source for carpet.

We are researching the possibility of replacing the Wilton carpet in our D&RGW Dining Car "Castle Peak" and would appreciate any recommendations that anyone could make as to a supplier. We want to replicate or at least come close to our current pattern.
Thanks in advance!
Chris Allan

Our interior designer, always a font of information, tells me the following.
Wilton is a -type- of carpet, not a brand name, it is produced on a Wilton type loom, as opposed to an Axminster type loom.
Two such looms exist in the U.S.,
Bloomburg Mills, 212-688-7447 and
Langhorn, 215-757-5155.
Patterns and colors are easily replicated from what I'm told. The outfit in Alabama (Langhorn) generally works with wool, don't know what your carpet is made from.
Hope this helps.
(Our I.D. is also the lady who found out where to get old venetian blinds re-taped (cloth bits replaced) for another old passenger car.)
Rudd, howeber, bought the carpet for his house at Carpet Barn. Might try there first.
Dave
