A previous thread noted that an SPV Budd car had been scrapped at the company's Red Lion plant. Which causes me to ask, how do you scrap a Budd car? Stainless steel doesn't burn like regular steel, and the bodies are resistance welded into pretty much one piece. Is this a plasma-arc process, or melt-and-blow with acetylene?
I might suggest just leaving it alone for 50 years.....
Are you making some plans we should know about, Bob?
Dave
They rip apart pretty easy with a big enough power shovel. Not as easy as a Pullman Standard car, though. Kind of like squashing and folding up cardboard boxes.
Aarne H. Frobom
