A little more background on "Indian Summer"

My father bought the car in 1982 from the auction in TN. It was shipped via rail on it's own trucks to Baraboo, WI where it was kept on the CNW house track next to the freight house until he sold the car to its current owner in Black River Falls, WI. The current owner had the car moved via truck as it was not Amtrak certified.

My dad kept the car in good physical condition for the duration of ownership. He replaced all windows shortly after purchasing the car and kept the roof in good repair so there were never any leaks. The interior was pretty much gutted with the exception of the kitchen stainless steel appliances. Interior consisted of the observation lounge, master bedroom, 3 roomettes, dining room, butler's pantry, and kitchen.

I wish I had the money to fix the car up when we owned it, but I was in my early 20's when he sold the car. At least it wasn't scrapped. :)
