Saturday, September 10th

Our scenic train will be running east from Mt. Tremper on our revised schedule.

George Peck will lead a crew at Phoenicia starting about 9am. He plans to continue cleanup in the yard.


Sunday, September 11th

Our scenic train will be running east from Mt. Tremper on our revised schedule.

George Peck and Earl Pardini will continue work on yard cleanup starting at 9:00am at Phoenicia.

Cornell Street will be closed.

Saturday, September 10th

Train crew consisted of Al Schoessow, engineer, Ray Farrell, conductor, Neil and Kathy Isabelle, brakemen, and Bruce Devorkin, ticket agent.

Cleanup continued in Phoenicia. Crew consisted of Earl Pardini, George Peck, Neil Remsen, Ernie Klopping, Mark Glaser, Peter Fluchere, myself, and George Bain (Mt. Tremper).


Sunday, September 11th

Train crew consisted of Walt Otto, engineer, John Watson, conductor, John Prestopino, trainman, and Tony Bocchino and Tony Gambino car attendants. Ticket agent was Peter Fluchere.

Paul Sternitzke, Bill Brosnan and I cut about 2 miles of track open between West Hurley and Shokan.

George Peck did additional cleanup in Phoenicia as well as Mt. Tremper and was assisted by Al Schoessow and Mark Glaser.

Saturday, September 17th

On Saturday, George Bain plans to lead a crew at Mt. Tremper station to reconfigure it to serve as the CMRR's official office, dispatch center, gift shop/concession, and ticket window. As part of this, his crew will be doing some light demo work inside, cleaning, sorting, etc. The exterior will be scraped and painted. They will start at 9:30am.

Please bring ladders, painting and scraping tools, dust masks, old tarps. In addition George needs a small brush crew to take down the knotweed and other brush to open up the area behind the station and by the picnic tables.

George Peck also plans to lead a crew starting at 9am at Mt. Tremper Station.


Sunday, September 18th

George Peck plans to lead a crew starting at 9:30am at Mt. Tremper Station.

Earl Pardini and Mark Glaser plan to finish the Mt. Tremper roof installation.

Cornell Street will be closed.

Friday, September 16th

John Prestopino and Al Schoessow did work on the journals on the army flat in Phoenicia yard. They removed sand and water form three journals. All the journals need to be reconditioned before the flat and the d and h caboose are moved. Anyone who would like to help with this project may contact Al or John for their schedule.


Saturday, September 17th

On Saturday, George Bain led a crew including George Peck, Earl and Mimi Pardini, Mark Glaser, Art Vogel, Steve Gollow. Here is George's report:

"Peter Fluchere, John Patane, Mark Glaser, Art Vogel and I scraped, sanded, caulked and painted the station. Scaffolding was erected to work on the roof tomorrow. After mowing and weedwhacking, Steve Gollow joined the painting crew. Al Schossow helped with painting. George Peck surveyed damage in the Cold Brook area and also assisted our crew. The West side of the station is completed. The other three sides were prepped and painted, but require a second coat. Interior work remains and brush cutting still needs to be done."

Sunday, September 18th

Earl Pardini and Mark Glaser worked on the Mt. Tremper roof and continued painting at Mt. Tremper station. They were assisted by George Bain, Mimi Pardini, Steve Gollow, and Peter Fluchere. George Peck surveyed line damage from the storm.

John Prestopino was engineer, Walt Otto conductor, Al Schoessow, brakeman, and Tony Bocchino, car attendant. George Bain and Peter Fluchere were ticket agents.

Monday, September 19th

Steve Gallow started clearing and leveling the area east of Andrews Lane for installation of a new switch with the CMRR backhoe. Al Schoessow worked at the Mt Tremper station leveling the parking lot, removing unsightly brush and general clean up of the area around the unloading ramp with the other backhoe.


Saturday, September 24th

The crew to-day was John Watson, Engineer, John Prestopino conductor, Bill Kaba brakeman and Tony Gambino car attendant. Ticket agent was Peter Fluchere.

At Mt. Tremper, Earl Pardini and Mark Glaser finished the roof. Steve Gallow brought up his trailer loaded with Black mulch and many pots of Mums. He weed wacked around trees etc. Mums planted in front of the station and out by our sign. Also, Steve and Mimi Pardini put up Corn stalks at the fence of the entrance to lot. George Bain, George Peck and Art Vogel also helped on interior work on the station, removing the counter inside. Exterior paint work on the station is mostly done.


Sunday, September 25th

Train Crew was Dave Heick, Walt Otto and Tony Boccino. Peter Fluchere was ticket agent.

Earl Pardini, George Peck, Al Schoessow, Mark Glaser and Steve Gollow went to 23.3 and discovered large erosion, which cut back their plans to move the track. They went to Kingston and ran the 401 to C9 and back. They were joined by Jordan Cerniglia.

Thursday, September 29th

Train crew was Earl Pardini, Engineer, John Prestopino was conductor and Al Schoessow was brakeman. Rich Kerimoglu was car attendant. First 2 trains were annulled due to a track issue. George Peck and Earl Pardini worked the afternoon and made the necessary repairs.


Friday, September 30th

Walt Otto was engineer and John Prestopino was conductor / ticket agent. Al Schoessow was brakeman. Ed Winstanley was car attendant.


Saturday, October 1st

Dave Heick engineer, Ray Farrell, Conductor, Bill Kaba trainman. Peter Fluchere was ticket agent.

George Peck worked in and around Mt. Tremper. He al Al Schoessow cleared ditches with the gradall after the main runs were over.

Paul Sternitzke and I inspected the line for storm damage from MP 32.7 to MP 29.


Sunday, October 2nd

Engineer was Al Schoessow. Walt Otto was conductor, John Prestopino was brakeman and ticket agent, along with George Bain. Tony Gambino was car attendant.

Goerge Bain did finish painting at Tremper Station. George Peck worked at Mt. Tremper.

Earl Pardini led a crew starting work at C9 which included Joe Klapkowski, John Patane, Bob Blake, Mark Glaser, Dave Hilliard, and Ernie Klopping. They tamped up the track at the east pier and started removing OTM from the west end of the bridge.

Thursday, October 6th

Friday, October 7th

The crew for Friday was John Watson engineer, John Prestopino conductor. Al Schoessow was brakeman and Ed Winstanley was car attendant.


Saturday, October 8th

Dave Heick was engineer, Ray Farrell Conductor, Dan Howard, trainman, and Anthony Gambino, car attendant. George Bain was ticket agent.

George Bain and Art Vogel worked on equipment maintenance at Mt. Tremper. Al Johnson worked in Phoenicia doing yard cleanup.

Earl Pardini led a crew that removed the rails and the first 14 ties from bridge C9 in Kingston. The crew consisted of Mark Glaser, Gary Lowe and John Patane.

Ticket agents were George Bain and Bruce Devorkin. Susan Graham worked the station concessions. Also helping in parking lot were Al Schoessow, George Peck, Mark Glaser and Gary Lowe.

Al Schoessow was engineer, Kathy and Neil Isabelle were the crew with George Bain and Thom Johnson as ticket agents. George Peck tightened bolts near Mt. Tremper.

Tuesday October 11th

Wednesday October 12th

Earl Pardini was engineer. Al Schoessow was conductor and ticket agent. Ed Winstanley was car attendant.


Thursday October 13th.

Engineer was Walt Otto. Al Schoessow was conductor and ticket agent. Rich Kerimoglu was car attendant.


Friday, October 14th

Al Schoessow was engineer Neil Isabelle was conductor. Ed Winstanley was car attendant. Kathy Isabelle was ticket agent.


Saturday, October 15th

Saturday crew was Dave Heick, engineer. The conductor was Ray Farrell. Brakeman was Neil Isabelle. Trainman was John Prestopino. Car attendant was Kathy Isabelle. Ticket agent was Peter Fluchere. Al Schoessow worked crowd control and parking lot. Helping in the parking were Mark Glaser, Earl Pardini and Ernie Klopping.

George Peck and Art Vogel took the gradall out to repair some sagging
track near Rock Cut and Andrew's Lane.

Earl Pardini, Mark Glaser and Ernie Klopping also worked in Kingston on C9 work in the morning.

Al Johnson continued cleanup in the Phoenicia yard and worked on the box car.


Sunday, October 16th

The engineer was John Patane. Walt Otto was conductor and Al Schoessow was brakeman. Tony Bocchino was car attendant. Ticket agents were Peter Fluchere and George Bain. Working the parking lot was Thom Johnson and George Peck.

George Peck also went to MP 23.8 and repaired a sag in the track there.

In Kingston, Earl Pardini led a crew consisting of Mark Glaser, Bob Blake, Joe Klapkowski, George Liucci, and Dave Hilliard. They inserted the first 11 new bridge timbers.

George Peck will lead a crew at Mt Tremper starting about 9am. He plans to do preparatory work on the new switch east of Andrew's Lane.

Al Johnson will lead a cleanup crew in Phoenicia starting at 10am. He could really use help in continuing our cleanup efforts there.

Earl Pardini plans to open Cornell Street at 9am to prepare for the Kingston Halloween Train run.

George Peck will continue work on the new switch starting at 9:30am at Mt Tremper.
