Thursday, June 2nd

Al Johnson worked on painting the 701.


Friday, June 3rd

On Friday, George Peck, Al Schoessow, Derek Stapleton and Jason DiTolla worked in the yard preparing for Saturday's work trains and passenger runs.


Saturday, June 4th

On Saturday, George Peck led a crew that included Joe Klapkowski, Mark Glaser, Derek Stapleton and Rich Bause. They went to MP 23.3 and started repairwork there.

Earl Pardini and Al Howes made repairs to the side dump.

Dave Heick was engineer, Ray Farrell and Dan Howard were train crew. Gary Lowe was ticket agent in Phoenicia. At Mt. Tremper, Al Schoessow was ticket agent.

In Shokan, Paul Sternitzke, Bill Brosnan, George Cook and I went to Hurley Flats and finished widening the ROW there, worked on a culvert at MP 6.4, worked on the Route 28a crossing, and cut overheads from MP 8.3 to 10.6.

Sunday, June 5th

On Sunday, John Pestopino was engineer, Bob McDonald conductor, Chris Burtt was car attendent. Gary Lowe was ticket agent in Phoenicia, and Peter Fluchere and Ultan Johnson were ticket agents in Mt. Tremper.

In Kingston, Earl Pardini notched 12 more ties for bridge C9. Helping him were Bob Blake, John Prestopino and Anthony Gambino.

George Peck will lead a crew at Phoenicia starting about 9am. He plans to take the worktrain to 23.3 to begin repairs there.


Sunday, June 12th

George Peck will continue work on 23.3 starting at 9:30am at Phoenicia.

Earl Pardini will likely open Cornell Street Yard at 10am, though please confirm with him to be sure.

Saturday, June 11th

Sunday, June 12th

Earl Pardini led a crew at Cornell Street, which included Al Schoessow, Anthony Gambino, Mark Glaser, and Bob Blake. They notched 22 more timbers for C9. Only 22 are left.

Train crew included Dave Heick as engineer, Walt Otto and Bob McDonald as train crew and Peter Fluchere and George Bain were ticket agents at Mt. Tremper.

George Peck worked on cleanup at the Phoenicia yard. Later in the afternoon, George, Peter Fluchere and Tom Healy took the TC 115 to Shokan and picked up the ten man flat.

Thursday, June 16th

The crew for the past Thursday school charter was Earl Pardini, engr. John Prestopino conductor and Bob McDonald brakeman.


Saturday, June 18th

The crew for the day was Dave Heick, Ray Farrell, Bill Kaba and Dan Howard with Peter Fluchere ticket agent at Mt. Tremper.

Terry W. and Al Johnson worked on coach 701.

George Peck worked in the Phoenicia yard.

At Cornell St. Yard on Sunday 16 additional C-9 bridge timbers were notched and relief cut for rivet head clearance. This phase of the project is nearing completion with six remaining to be cut. Participating today were Earl Pardini, Bob Blake, Al Schoessow, Jim Bruck and Mark Glaser.


Sunday, June 19th

The crew this Sunday was; John Patane, engr. Walt Otto, conductor, Bob McDonald, brakeman and Anthony Bocchino was car attendant. Tom Healy and Pter Fluchere were ticket agents at Mt. Tremper.

Saturday, June 25th

Al Johnson and Terry W. worked on coach 701. George Peck and Al Schoessow worked in the Phoenicia yard.

Paul Sternitzke, Bill Brosnan and I cut the ROW in Kingston "in-guage" from Cornell Street to Washington Avenue, including the O&W switch:

Sunday, June 26th

Train crew was John Prestopino, engineer, Walt otto, Bob McDonald, and Anthony Bochino, car attendent. Peter Fluchere was ticket agent in Mt. Tremper.

In Kingston, Earl Pardini led a crew consisting of Ernie Klopping, Bob Blake, Al Schoessow, and Mark Glaser. The crew finish cut seven remaining ties marking the end of the C-9 bridge timber notching project. Later in the day, an inspection run of the line was made in anticipation of next Saturday's start of Kingston summer train service.

Tuesday June 28th to Thursday, June 30th.

Al Schoessow and Dick Wilhelm worked on 401 in Kingston. They repaired the transition circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursday they repaired the wheel slip indicator, and also repaired all the sanders on the locomotive.


Friday, July 1st.

Train crew was Al Schoessow, Engineer, Walt Otto, and Bob McDonald. Peter Fluchere was ticket agent in Mt. Tremper.


Saturday, July 2nd

In Phoenicia, train crew was Al Schoessow, Engineer, Ray Farrell, conductor, with Bill Kaba and Dan Howard. Neil Isabelle was ticket agent in Phoenicia and Peter Fluchere in Mt. Tremper.

In Kingston, Earl Pardini was engineer, John Watson was conductor, and Mark Glaser and John Prestopino were brakemen/flaggers. Thom Johnson was ticket agent.


Sunday, July 3rd

Paul Sternitzke and I inspected the line in Kingston but did not sickle bar cut due to rain.

On Monday, John Prestopino was engineer, Neil Isabelle conductor, Ed Winstanley trainee and Russ Hallock was car attendant. Ed Winstanley was ticket agent in PA and Peter Fluchere was the same in Mt. Tremper.

John Prestopino and Bob McDonald made repairs to the open passenger flats in Phoenicia.

Friday, July 8th

In Phoenicia Enginner was Dave Heick, Conductor was John Prestopino, Brakeman was Bob McDonald and car attendant was Ed Winstanly. Ed also sold tickets in Phoenicia. Ticket agent in Mt. Tremper was Peter Fluchere.

Saturday July 9th

In Phoenicia, Engineer was Al Schoessow, Conductor was Ray Farrell, brakeman were Bill Kaba and Dan Howard. Neil Isabelle and George Bain were ticket agents. Joe Logiudice was dispatcher.

George Peck and Al Schoessow worked in the Phoenicia yard, assisted by Neil Remsen.

Paul Sternitzke, Bill Brosnan and I cut brush from Shokan to Stoney Hollow:

Sunday in Phoenicia, Engineer was John Patane, Conductor was Bob McDonald, Doug Senterman was brakeman and Peter Fluchere was ticket agent in Mt. Tremper. Tony Bocchino was car attendant.

Also on Sunday, George Peck and Al Schoessow replaced a non-working tip light on one of the crossing gates at mt tremper. Paul Hintz helped them get the headlights working on Engine 29 and now that loco is back in service.

Wednesday, July 13th

Bob McDonald moved the drop gate from 272 to the West end ( and south side ) of 271 therefore making it more usuable for the Twilight Special.


Thursday, July 14th

On Thursday, Terry W. and Al Johnson continued painting on the 701.


Friday, July 15th

On Friday the Engineer was Al Schoessow with John Watson as engr. trainee. The conductor was John Prestopino and Bob McDonald as brakeman / tix agent in PA. Thom Johnson was ticket agent in Mt. Tremper.


Saturday, July 16th

In Phoenicia Dave Heick was engineer, Ray Farrell was conductor and Bill Caba was brakeman / car attendant. Ticket Agent at Mt. Tremper was Russell Hallock and Peter Fluchere.

In Kingston Engineer was Earl Pardini, with Walt Otto as conductor. Mark Glaser was brakeman / flagger and Tony Gambino a flagger. The ticket agent in Kingston was Pat Smalley.

In Phoenicia, George Peck, Neil Remsen and Art Vogel worked on the track machines in the Phoenicia yard, and switched out cars with No. 29.

Also in Phoenicia, Al Johnson continued work on painting coach 701.


Sunday, July 17th

Sunday in Phoenicia, Engineer was Jason Ditolla, Bob McDonald was conductor John Watson brakeman and Tony Bocchino was car attendant. Ed. Winstanley was ticket agent in Mt. Tremper.

George Peck worked in the Phoenicia yard.

Paul Sternitzke led a crew consisting of myself and Bill Brosnan and we sickle bar cut in-guage in Kingston from Cornell Street to 209 and back. We also cut overhanging vegetation at Dutch Village.
