While we're on the diversion to big bands, the choice of Les Brown's signature tune "Sentamental Journey" for the Lackawanna video is coincidental to his Pennsylvania roots. Brown was born in Reinerton, PA, Schuylkill County.

And the resort just north of the Delaware Water Gap (and the DL&W) was owned by Fred Waring for a number of years. I dare say that a lot of big bands played in the resorts of the Poconos where the bands and the guests came in on the Lackawanna.

Schuylkill Valley, you better not let anyone from Shenandoah, Pa. hear you say the Dorsey Brothers were from Hazelton!

Your right, I was thinking of Genettis Ballroom in Hazelton, PA. where they played as well as other ballrooms in the coal country of PA. Their Father worked in the coal mines of Shenandoah, and too played in a band. We have the movie made of their life story. The actor Jimmy Steward was from Indiana, PA.

I think a lot of the Union Pacific film was shot on the Rio Grande.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.
