I'll add that I've put in over 4 decades of broadcast engineering working from 535Kc to 14GHz Including not only the main transmitters but 2-way radios, studio-transmitter links, remote pickup gear, wireless mics & IFB units, building studio and transmitter facilities, maintaining tower sites & directional arrays, microwave links, satellite links, GPS disciplining of systems, analog and digital systems and all the licensing pertaining to everything. All this and $13.50 still only gets you a lousy cup of coffee.

Not the cheapest but we've always used those "cliche" Motorola CP200 bricks and are licensed with three channels - one for operations, one for non-operations and one additional in the rare case one of the other channels is getting stepped on. Pretty much problem-free in TX and RX.
