The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum is seeking copies of information and layout diagrams for 80# (preferably 80# NYC Dudley) and 90 # (preferably 90AS) switches using #5-#9 frogs. We are specifically interested in older documentation for switches of these rail types that use the different size & numbered tie plates throughout the switch vs. the newer hook type plates. All of our "newer" documentation in our technical library does not show this older layout style.

We are attempting to understand how these switches were built up to insure we get all of the right parts together from our inventory which was donated and delivered to us in a less than sorted state. We know we have complete switches, but just need to make sure we find all the right parts. We plan to install several switches this summer in our effort to get track to our restoration facility.

We are willing to reimburse for duplication and postage costs. Please let me know if you can help or if you have any questions that I can pass on to our track department.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if it would help, but there a wonderful online resourse:

I didn't take the time to browse through specifically for what you were looking for, but it may be useful.

I'd forwarded this to Chris offline, thought I'd post it for everyone else' use:

New York Central Plans and Data For Field Use

There apparently is a pop-up tied to this page, and I was not able to open the link directly (I think the Windows XP popup blocker was doing its thing). If you have a similar problem, just shortcut the URL to the domain name (http://www.giancarlodemarco.com) and then manually follow the link to the page.
