I'm not really in any organization, but my hat is off to you and my teachers and friends from Texas State RR: JC Jones, Wesley Dearman, Cleo Cox, Moze Tinsley, and Track Foreman Jimmy Mosley. I'm where I am today because I have stood on the shoulders of giants....

Thanks Sammy. I learned a lot as well from them, especially Moze. Only he could have pulled off that stunt with Robbie Knievel...

Thank you for that Matt. That was the kind of answer that I was looking for. Or perhaps, a statement along these lines...

In celebration of Black History Month, the Texas Railway Preservation Association tips its cap to the countless numbers of black track layers, firemen, brakemen, hostlers, machinists, engineers, Pullman porters, inventors, and other myriad crafts on whose shoulders future generations of black railroaders continue to strive forward. We thank them for their sacrifice and service as we continue to honor their legacy and their contributions in the future.
