People in support of the Catskill Mountain Railroad are offering a bus tour for historical and educational purposes. My contacts there are enthusiastic about it, and would invite readers here to come along.

U&D RAILWAY REVITALIZATION CORP·THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2018

The UDRRC will be hosting a rail and bus tour of the Catskill Rail Corridor on November 3. Here are the latest details - feel free to share.

U&D Railway Revitalization Corporation Announces Fall Tour

The Great Mountain Flyer Rail & Bus Tour will meet at Kingston Plaza in the City of Kingston, NY at 8:30 AM on November 3, 2018. This will be an exclusive day-long guided tour of the Catskill Rail Corridor from Kingston Point all the way to Arkville and beyond.
Starting at Kingston Plaza, the tour will travel by tour bus to the Trolley Museum of New York, with a trolley excursion out to Kingston Point and back. The bus will then take travellers back to Kingston Plaza.

At the Plaza, the tour will next board the Catskill Mountain Railroad for a ride west on the rails. The bus will meet up with the train to continue the tour on to the Ashokan Reservoir and points west. There will be a stop at the Maurice D. Hinchey Catskill Interpretive Center.

From there, the tour will proceed to the Empire State Railway Museum in Phoenicia, NY with a stop to view their exhibits. The tour will continue to Arkville, NY and a third rail excursion, on the Delaware & Ulster Railroad. The tour will then conclude with a late afternoon return to Kingston Plaza by tour bus.

In addition to the main points of interest, the tour will also take in historic rail-related sites along the way. Guides will provide narration, and there will be opportunities for photos. In addition to a lunch included as part of the trip, tour participants will also receive a packet of keepsakes and information. The all-inclusive fee for the trip is $99.00. Space is limited, so those interested in the tour should sign up now.

Reservations can be made through the UDRRC website at: http://www.udrrcorp.com

I see the title and keep thinking this is a merger between Vermont's Green Mountain Flyer and West Va.'s Cheat Mountain Salamander.............
