With the advent of 360° video the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum wishes to invite our RYPN guest to a virtual trolley ride. We are planning to have a VR headset at the Springfield Railroad Hobby Show. For now enjoy your ride on our 1896 Wason combine https://youtu.be/l9Wh-BXL9kY (you can still enjoy the 360° video without a headset)

This is a novel idea. Somebody has grabbed today's technology and utilized it to whet the appetites of today's generation for a yesterday ride.

That's a great idea! It may sound ironic, but keeping track of the latest trends and using the most modern innovations is the best way to keep history alive ; it's like using drones to film historical reenactments, making 3D animations of old machines, or, well, opening websites and forums about old trains!

The more up-to-date the museums and historical enthusiast societies will be, the more they'll be able to appeal to the younger generations and give them a taste for history.
