Actually, we'll be offering Victorian Christmas on TWO Saturdays this year: 12/16 and 12/23. Advanced reservations are closed, but we are reserving spots for walk-up passengers on both days. Details are on our web site: http://www.wwfry.org

Some pictures from the WW&FRy facebook page showing the recent progress on the bridge. Site work for the bridge installation at Trout Brook and on the railroad right of way leading into the bridge site should be starting up soon.

Nice work, but I'm a little disappointed that no openings / windows were left to allow the passengers to see all that beautiful truss work. It seems a missed opportunity for a teaching moment. I would have figured some Lexan windows mid-span on the interior sheathing would both keep the weather out and be invisible in photos of the train crossing the bridge.

Pictures from the last month of work. Most of the pictures show installing the bridge sheathing and trim. There are a few pictures of the tie rods being installed in the deck and fire proofing being sprayed on the bridge. The last pictures show the rolled roofing being installed on the roof of the west truss. The other truss still needs rolled roofing applied. Photos courtesy of Linc Reed-Nickerson.
