Hi All,

We have a collection of railroad specific, large copy negatives from the late 1800- early 1940s. Unclear what became of the originals but these negatives were created in the 50s & 60s. We also have some original glass negatives of the same content/age. Can anyone point me in the direction of a railroad specific marketplace for this sort of thing?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Have you tried the Center for Railroad Photography and Art? https://railphoto-art.org/

They are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit arts and education organization. They are not a marketplace but a nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of photographs.

Important question: Are the photographers of the originals known? Is this a curated, organized collection, or a random pile of unidentified subjects/photographers?
