Back on May 5-7 of 1989, the Chesapeake & Allegheny Live Steamers hosted a "Railfan Weekend in the Alleghenies" at Cass, WV. It was limited to 50 railfans and presented lots of photo opportunities. It was, I believe, the last year that railfans were allowed cab rides. I attended with my 16 year-old son and a railfan friend who is now deceased. A group photo was taken and a copy mailed to each attendee by I believe William Bell. To make a long story short, my copy of the photo was ruined by a flooded basement and thrown away. Is there anyone out there who attended that weekend and still has a copy of the photo? If so, I would love to have a scanned copy. I took a photo just as the group was breaking up after the "official group photo" but my son and friend had wandered off by this time. Oh yes, it snowed later in the weekend, but that's another story.
