It’s scholarship season for high school seniors and I’m on a hunt for any potential college scholarships I can apply for. Does anybody know of any railroad related scholarships involving preservation or modern railroading? I’m looking into both for potential careers. I plan on attending a local 2-year community college for now.

You don’t need a degree to work in this field. Move to a place like Strasburg, Durango, Chattanooga, etc. get a job doing whatever they will hire you to do and learn every single day. Trust me, you’ll be way further along in 4 years than you’d ever get at school. But just like at school, you have to apply yourself and learn from everything you can.
