(The diesel rolling by in the beginning is the giveaway). Although, as to why they lettered one of the cars "Steele and Western" is a mystery. |

There is a piece of lost media somewhere of GTW 6323 which was pulled out in during July 22nd-24th of 1961 to star in a commercial promoting the then new 1962 Pontiac where the northern would pull the cars via flatbed. This commercial is mentioned in Charles R. Foss's book "Grand Trunk Western: Evening Before the Diesel." or otherwise known just as "Evening before the Diesel." There is the Samsonite commercial where the suitcase is run over by a train ( if I recall, it was Magma Arizona 5 doing the suitcase killing...) |
