Hi,
I´am Sammy from Germany. The User "QJdriver" invited me here in this forum to show some pictures from steam in germany and europe.

In the south-eastern part of germany you can find a lot of 750 mm narrow gauge lines. The following pictures show the Weißeritztalbahn between Freital-Hainsberg an Kurort Kipsdorf. The half of the line between Dippoldiswalde and Kurort Kipsdorf was reopened some weeks ago!
This part of the line was closed in 2002 after a flood.

Interesting road!

One thing that stands out are the 2-10-2T engines, which resemble the ones on the Harz Mountain Railway. I would guess they date to about the same time.

Mr j3a,

The East German State Rys had very similar 2-10-2T engines in three sizes, standard gauge, meter gauge, and the metric version of 30" gauge. The Harzer Schmalspurbahnen has both the meter gauge and standard gauge versions in service, while the smallest ones work around Dresden on the various preserved DR narrow gauges.
