03 May 2017 - Georges Creek Railway took delivery from CSX of their 3 ex. WM locomotives #39, #7471, and #7436 on Wednesday.
CSX local B770-03 delivered the units to Westernport, MD with GCK's ex. WM GP9 #25 doing the honors of bringing it's sister units across the interchange there.
Long stored in and around Cumberland, MD the units were moved to Keyser, WV. about 4 weeks ago while issues with clearance for the 6 axles units was worked out.
This event marks the first time a Western Maryland 6 axle locomotive has every been on the Thomas Subdivision. WM / Chessie / CSX had restrictions preventing the units from operating on the sub.
