I'd rather see it kept open or someone will just start a new thread. You could do anything, build a museum where it sits, lay some operating track for it to exersize on, maybe generate small revenue with small runs. I always suggest full restoration of an engine for its restoration than cosmetic which keeps an engine fresh, than rusting away. We all hope the best for this engine, everyone here does and shows concern at whatever level they express. Just keep rooting. I may have something to add to this thread sometime later. |

Ross, there's a real simple solution to your concern about flagellating a deceased equine. Don't like this discussion? Don't read it! Let the mods do their job and as long as it's just pie-in-the-sky chattering (maybe if we get some Chinook helicopters...) why not let them play. There's plenty of folks around to tell them "Well, that won't work and here's why." |
