I am looking for two good condition Sharon couplers to go on a former CNJ coach. Anyone have one or two for sale? If so, email me at domeliner@hotmail.com Thanks. |

For anyone else who may be following this thread, the Everett Railroad is looking into having "E" couplers made which will replaced the Sharon couplers referenced in the original post on certain CNJ cars. You are going to need to research which shank was used on those couplers in order to find a match. |

Turns out that there is no modern replacement with the same length shank, or with the same size draft gear. So, the next longer shank type E couplers were chosen, and new draft gear pockets fabricated and installed farther from the ends of the frame.
