I am in search of a GE 45 ton locomotive. All mechanical/cosmetic conditions are being considered, from basket cases to reliable runners. Preference given to units in the northeast, southeast, and eastern midwest regions of the US. What do you have available?

(Please note: This post is not affiliated with the museum listed in my signature.)

Thanks in advance!

Greetings Joe,

I am the historic equipment manager for McHugh Locomotive. We're the experts when it comes to GE switchers. We don't have an engine ready to go at the moment but we have ones in stock that can be rebuilt with a warranty for years of trouble-free operation. We can put together a 25, 45, or 65 ton in a relatively short period of time. We do take equipment in trade in most cases and are willing to work with heritage railroads as much as we can.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
