A DCNRHS member’s father was a long-time wood worker and artistic bowl turner before passing. Our member has all his tools and is no longer able to continue using them due to life’s events. He loves industrial history and supports our organization but alas we can't use all this. Our member knows the struggles that some not-for-profit organizations have. So, he is willing to donate the tools to a not-for-profit organization (prefer rail related but not hard requirement) with the interest the organization will be able to use them. He is willing to talk you through how to use the equipment. He prefers not to split the equipment. There are several more items not listed below that include hand tools such as planes, drills, routers, sanders, grinders, etc. Also, there are filing cabinets, storage cabinets, etc. All items are in good shape, no rust and minimally used. Here are the larger items:
• Oliver Pattern Maker’s Lathe – 24”x72”. 5HP, 3ph, with a 3ph converter. Used primarily to make large bowls and wood vessels. It is extremely smooth machine. Estimated weight is 4,000 lbs.
• Onsrud Inverted Router – model 3025, 5HP, 1ph. Includes vacuum machine attaching templates to wood for production environment.
• Legacy floor standing ornamental mill, with 5hp variable speed router.
• Powermatic Bandsaw – model 81, 20”
• Delta heavy duty shaper – 3hp. Several cutters, including raised panel carbide cutter set
• Tool box with lots drill bits and other items.
• Horizontal metal cutting bandsaw
• Disc and belt sanders
• Floor jacks
• Sand blast cabinet with vacuum
• Oneida dust collection system 1.5hp, with both internal and long external filter cartridges
• Other dust collection fans
• Delta jointer – 6”
• Bowl lathes – Union Graduate and other no name
• DeWalt radial arm saw – 3hp and includes a 14” Forrest blade
• Wood – various types, random dimensions, including kiln dried exotics, oak, reclaimed flooring, walnut, etc. Also, there is approximately 1000’ of air dried cherry, oak and locust.
• Parks 12” floor standing planer

The tools are located in central Maryland and you will have to remove them and haul them to your location. Contact me if you have questions and I can put you in touch with our member.

Looks like some good stuff. May be hard to find someone with space to take everything.

Where is it located? Could always sell the stuff off and make a donation if you can't find a suitable candidate. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and from what I can see this stuff sells pretty easily.

I wonder if the historic Cattail foundry in PA has an equipped pattern shop associated with it? This could be the basis for one..... if they can use it. Rick?

The equipment is located in Central Maryland about 30 - 45 mins from Washiington, D.C.
