| Post subject: | EMD Auxiliary Generator Knife Switch |
I'm looking for an new or good condition EMD auxiliary generator knife switch which was used on the 1st generation EMD F/GP/SD units. These were not on their own plate but were studded to go through a large phenolic board that also had the battery knife switch, fuses and tester equipment. They were rated at 125V 200A according to the EMD Replacement Parts Catalog No. 90. The catalog only list two part numbers for all locomotives: 8004558 or 8151824 (includes a 90 degree stop pin) Perhaps the part number has been superseded? If you have one or can point me in the right direction please let me know. Tom Mack |
