Both cars are located in Rush, NY on live rail. Additional photos or details can be supplied upon request. Formal expressions of interest can be sent to me via email and I will pass them along for review. (Click the email button below.) The goal is to see these cars restored and enjoyed!

Thank you,

Sister PRR sleeper-lounge "Catalpa Falls" is rounding Horse Shoe Curve today, as a matter of fact.

Both these cars have some potential. I hope all ends well for both.

Just an FYI for interested parties, that DL&W MU car suffered significant frame damage and draft gear damage while it was transported to Rochester by Conrail (for free, you get what you pay for) circa 1995 (or there abouts)

It was sent through the hump yard at Selkirk Yard and "interacted" with some modern freight cars with significantly more mass.

To be clear, I am not accusing the R&GVRR Museum of misrepresenting the condition of the car, but the current members may not know the full history of that artifact.

An up close and personal inspection should be performed by any potential "future owners".

The frame and draft gear damage is clearly apparent to skilled personnel, and it is most certainly Out Of Service pending Heavy Repairs that the R&GVRR Museum cannot perform. It would need these repairs before it would be accepted for interchange, regardless of the presence of live rail and roller bearings.

Today, in 2019, it is a "truck it out" candidate at best.

Buyer beware, Cheers, Kevin.

This is expected and encouraged.
